Favorite Vintage Gown - Wearable ART
Gorgeous Printed Silk[/caption] After watching the Golden Globe Awards Red Carpet last night, I decided to look at all my vintage gowns. I don't get to wear them very often...so I figured, why not feature my favorites. This is one of my favorite vintage finds. I love this 60s dress. The bodice fits like a glove and the graphic and beautiful art on the skirt is even better in person. In this picture the waist is accentuated by a beautiful sapphire brooch. I think for this...
Wearing Vintage
We were hosting a Christmas get-together and I was running late as usual. I grabbed one of my trusty vintage leisure pants, paired it with my Gap tank and threw a Ann Taylor cardigan on top. I love the mixture of the different patterns with the common orangey coral color in the pant and cardigan. I was so comfortable all evening. *photo courtesy of my Mother-in-law

Capes...a Winter Wear Alternative
Not everyone likes the confined feeling of a winter coat. Especially when you need to hide the extra pounds you gained from holiday revelry, it's the perfect cover-up.
How about one that offers serious drama with beautiful color.
If you're all about classic elegant fur...this one works!!! See how others are wearing their capes. Here are a few more beauties to check out.
Putting It Together...Mod Update
It's one thing one thing to purchase vintage clothing...but how the heck do you incorporate it into your wardrobe without looking like you are wearing a "costume"?
A little bit of mix and match goes a long way...especially when vintage is mixed with modern accessories and shoes. I've shared a classic example here.
